Majisha Jahan Disha is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at BRAC University. She holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), where she graduated with honors and received the Dean’s List Award across three academic levels.
Her research interests lie at the intersection of Health Informatics, Human–Computer Interaction (HCI), and Applied AI, with a focus on culturally responsive digital health, physiological signal analysis, medical imaging, and intelligent optimization. Her current research explores hormonal health literacy and serious games, healthcare workload analysis, and AI-based healthcare applications. She also has research experience in metaheuristic optimization and cloud computing, with publications in these areas. Alongside her research, she is involved in teaching, undergraduate research supervision, and interdisciplinary digital health initiatives.
This work proposes four hybrid optimization strategies combining the Fireworks Algorithm and Whale Optimization Algorithm to address multi-objective task scheduling in cloud environments. The proposed approaches balance execution time, cost, energy consumption, and resource utilization and demonstrate improved scheduling performance across synthetic and real-world workloads.
Dean’s List Award, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) — Awarded across three of four academic levels.
1st Place, Dhaka Board Merit List, Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC), 2019 — Ranked 1st across the Dhaka Education Board.
3rd Place, BUET Women in CSE Programming Contest, 2021.
